1988 Honda NX250 for sale. Fine example of a clean well preserved bone stock NX enduro. These are quite rare as they were only imported to the US 1988-1990. They were designed to be the ultimate 'do everything' adventure bike. Lightweight at 278 lbs wet lots of power for on and offroad riding from the high output liquid cooled 250 cc single cylinder 4 stroke motor producing 27 hp a low center of gravity with a 32 inch seat height for agility off road but still maintains a 10 inch ground clearance. Extremely well mannered on road wide ratio 6 speed trans lets this bike easily cruise at freeway speeds (110 mph top speed although ive never had it past 75) Very simple service intervals of valve adjustments every 20K miles (!) and oil changes every 3K miles (although for the life of this bike it has been changed every 2K miles using only Amsoil products and genuine Honda parts oil filters and gaskets etc) These bikes are quite well known to go 100K miles before needing a rebuild. I've been consistently getting between 76 and 81 mpg. No modifications have been done to this bike whatsoever. It is in fantastic mechanical and cosmetic condition needs nothing. It does have its fair share of small scratches since it is 27 years old but nothing major. No rust. Seat is still soft and supple no worn in spot or tears. Always stored indoors always. Never ridden in inclement weather. I bought this bike from the original owner family (it passed from uncle to nephew) with 3920 miles and it has 6042 miles now. I put a new rear Bridgestone Trailwing rear tire on last September (the OEM tire) and it has about 400 miles on it. Has been dead nuts reliable. Oil change and oil chain is the only thing its ever needed. Clean Indiana title in my name. Reason for selling is I bought a new bike and this one doesn't get ridden anymore.
