1981 Honda XL185s with 2360 original miles. I love this bike but don't have the time to ride it. The original owner was a local farmer who apparently didn't ride it much either. From the looks of it it has been kept inside its entire life. I have kept it in my basement for the last two years since I've owned it. The paint is near perfect. No dents. No rust. The pictures should represent it well. The inside of the tank is clean. The bike is spotless top to bottom. It has the original Bridgestone tires that are in very good shape. The original tool kit is still in the holder. It runs very well. Starts first kick from a seated position every time. I installed a new plug battery air filter and changed the oil and lubed/ adjusted the chain. I recently took it on a 60 mile trip just to check everything out and it performed flawlessly. Its a lot of fun to ride with lots of low end power even for my 230 lbs. There is a custom farmer-built rack on the back that is actually welded to the frame. I typically don't like anything non-original on my bikes so I was going to cut it off but it is so handy and built so well that I left it alone. There is also a custom switch panel under the speedometer to shut off the headlight or taillight individually. Again it was made so well that I left it as-is. There are no mirrors for the bike but I liked the look of it without them so I never bothered to find a set. I can't imagine ever finding an XL185 in better condition. I really hate to let it go but right now other priorities prevail. I am located in northwest Illinois about 35 min from the Mississippi River and about 40 min south of Wisconsin. I'm not a motorcycle dealer but I have worked with different bike shipping companies in the past and sold motorcycles all over the country. I would be happy to help get it ready and loaded on a truck if need be. Please message me with any questions. Thanks Jon.
