1983 XL200R

1983 Honda XL200RLicensed currently registeredNote: Odometer is not working not sure of milesUpdate 6/17/15: Gotta love a Honda 2nd kick started up with old gas. Confirmed all lights work brake lights and turn signals and even the horn. Ignition switch takes some jiggling but I think contact cleaner will take care of that. Carburetor could probably use a cleaning but seemed to run and idle just finePurchased this bike used in 2006 for my daughter back when we were doing more dirt biking. Hasn't been ridden since 2011. 'Good' overall condition for a dirt bike. Original tank in good shape. Side covers original the fenders are replacements. I think the seat has been recovered (no 'XL' logo) but I didn't do it. Bike has street legal DOT knobbies tool kit is in place. Battery was replaced in October 2013 and the bike has been on a battery tender. Test shows still good.Problems: fork seals leak and I think the kick starter seal. Rear knobby rubs on the swingarm a little bit. I replaced the speedometer from a XR model so it would have a 'trip odometer' for Dual-sport events. Replaced headlight with Baja Designs unit and installed aftermarket turn signals (there were no turn signals on the bike when I purchased)I have the some original parts like the smog equipment (off the bike when I purchased) and I believe headlight.If you're thinking about this for your kids be advised it's a tall motorcycle about the same seat height as my XR600.Hasn't been run in about a year but I'll make a point of getting it running this weekend. Never had a problem with the engine..
