Description

I purchased the bike in Michigan two years ago when it had about 38000 miles on it. I think there was one or two previous owners. While I owned it during the winter the bike was stored covered in a heated garage - I don't know about the previous owners but the seat fabric and lack of rust indicate the same. I rode it occasionally while I finished grad school. After I graduated a month or so ago I made the ride from northern Michigan to New Orleans LA over a few days. It was a lot of fun and the bike is a perfectly smooth cruiser that gets between 35 and 50 mpg depending on how you ride. There is minor body damage from the previous owner. This includes what is listed above. I did my best to include the scrapes and bumps in the pictures. An aftermarket set of saddle bags had been fixed to the rear of the bike that vibrated a bit of the paint away.Unless you're really up close it's not noticeable.I think the bike still looks great. It seems as if whomever owned it before laid it down at a low speed. The frame sits well over the tires and as mentioned there is no abnormal vibrations wobbling or drifting. What you get and what's new:

  • All weather cover
  • New side mirrors
  • New foam grips
  • New front and rear sprockets - ratio was changed for low rpm cruising
  • New chain
  • New rear tire
  • Reflective vest (large)
  • A set of front break pads (to be shipped separately)
Recent service:
  • I checked the spark plugs last summer and they looked fine
  • I checked and cleaned the air filter last summer (all city riding)
  • The oil was changed about 1.5 months ago (or about 1500 miles ago)
  • Rear drum brakes look fine still
  • Front disk breaks are getting towards their end but I have a spare set up in Michigan I can have shipped to you for free
Known problems:
  • Blinker light for right turn signal does not blink brightly
  • Left tail light remains out even after replacing the bulb. The turn signal does work though.
  • There is an odd sound that occurs during a hard engine brake. It's not the actual engine. Probably from taking the mountains in Virginia.
From above you can tell I put a bit of time and money into the bike since I purchased it. With a little effort it still has a ton of life left in it. I'm sure even with no effort it has a lot of life left in it. I've changed the oil regularly and she runs clean. For a bike of these miles if you don't know much about motorcycles and want to be absolutely certain you'll have zero problems in the near future you could get the valves checked the carburetorssynched and adjusted and cam chain tensioner/lifter checked. I think a guy in Michigan quoted me about $200. This is NOT necessary. Just FYI for new bike purchasers who don't know how to do that kind of thing themselves. A lot of new riders/buyers place themselves at this price point.Local pickup only. If you want it delivered it's on you to arrange and pay for that service. The motorcycle is being sold as is.Serious bidders only. If you have to ask mom and dad you're not a serious bidder. If you're under 18 you're legally not allowed to bid. Please don't waste my time and money. That being said message me if you have any questions or want to see any other pictures. I've sold a few other motorcycles on eBay I know how it goes just shoot me a message.
