2008 Honda Goldwing GL1800 with Escapade Trailer

The ultimate Interstate Touring Bike has been the GL1800 Goldwing since the day the 6 Cylinder version of the bike was introduced. All the other brands have brought out models to compete with it and non have been able to put the same package together with Honda reliability. There is just nothing better or more complete. This one owner 2008 bike has 27153 miles and is cosmetically beautiful. There are a couple of minor rock chips in the frontal area from being ridden but beyond that there are no signs of use. The 2008 Escapade Trailer was also ordered with matching color and trim and is in perfect condition. All told the cost new of the bike and trailer was over $35000!

The Goldwing was ordered with the Premium Audio System along with Navigation System and jacks for the intercom. Also included is the Weather Information Channel. After looking at all of these features my suggestion is that you read the owner’s manual several times before you try to use these features while riding. If not you will end up in the weeds looking down at all of this stuff. Honda riders are probably laughing at me because I was so overwhelmed but this bike has everything but the kitchen sink and there is so much it takes a little time to know it all. Just a couple of items I saw were heated seats heated grips air adjustable rear suspension ABS brakes Cruise Headlight Attack Angle adjustment GPS (named “Sally”) plus I am pretty sure half the Kuryakyn catalog is bolted to the bike. Just look at the passenger arm rest! They do everything except brew coffee.

The trailer is equally well feted. The interior is carpeted with a couple of storage compartments built into the floor. The chassis is chromed and the matching paint and tail light assemblies make for the perfect cosmetic package. The owner stated that he did not even notice the trailer when towing with the 1800 even when it was loaded. Nothing like cubic inches.

If you are planning that ultimate grand tour of the US or just the Western States there is no other motorcycle setup that will match the Goldwing for effortless comfortable Interstate Cruising. Nothing comes close.
