This is a 1972 Honda CT70HK1 frame (CT70H-2008513) paired with the engine from a CT70HK0 (CT70HE-115083). The bike is titled in California with this frame and engine combination and is registered for both on-highway and off-highway operation. The bike was completely disassembled and repainted in its original Candy Ruby Red color. The 4-speed manual engine was also torn down and rebuilt with an 88cc cylinder and piston.Frame: Completely dissembled media blasted primed and repainted Candy Ruby Red color courtesy of Mike's MiniTrail Restorations. Brand new Honda decals and side badges were applied. New OEM chrome strip on frame top. Seat hinge and tank cover powder coated in gloss black. Battery box is zinc plated. New CHP replica seat. Rechromed fenders and rear foot brake assembly. Handlebars and cables are high quality replicas from CHP. The handlebar holder knobs are Takegawa billet aluminum parts. New OEM grips and rebuilt throttle assembly. Taillight is a CT70K0 CHP replica bracket with new OEM light and lenses. Foot pegs and kick stand assembly powder coated in gloss black. Stainless steel socket head bolts were used throughout the bike to give it an up-to-date look. Original Honda hardware like engine mounting bolts and axles were all rezinced.Suspension: Completely disassembled and worn parts replaced. The front suspension was taken from a 1974 CT70. The fork ears and triple tree top plate were all rechromed. The rear shocks are high performance Kitaco parts.Engine: Completely disassembled cleaned and all parts checked. New 88cc Trail Bikes cylinder piston and rings. Engine was rebuilt using its stock cylinder head with new valves exhaust valve seal spark plug timing chain and cam tensioner roller. The Hitachi stator assembly was completely rebuilt with a CHP kit. Clutch was torn down cleaned and rebuilt with new friction plates The engine was paired with a new 19mm carburetor connected with a stock intake and air cleaner. Engine assembly comes complete with a semi-custom stainless steel muffler and chrome heat shield from Mike's MiniTrail Restorations. New chain and rear sprocket. The engine has been run through its first 20 miles since being rebuilt and has its first oil change. Wheels: Brand new Honda OEM wheel rims. New Bridgestone tires tubes and valve stems. Polished backing plates and new brake shoes. The kickstarter arm is a new Honda OEM part. The gear shift arm is an Takegawa billet aluminum aftermarket part.Electrical: New battery connected to an original wiring harness and ignition switch from a 1974 CT70. Head light tail light and indicator bulbs are all functional. The speedometer was taken from a 1972 CT70K1 and was disassembled and rebuilt with a CHP face for a CT70HK1. The bike is equipped with aftermarket turn signals and short turn signal stays. The neutral indicator lamp in the speedometer is used as a turn signal indicator since the CT70HK0 engine does not have a neutral indicator switch. The horn is a fully restored version taken from a CT70K0 silver tag.Title/Registration: Bike is registered in CA for both on-highway and off-highway operation.
