1978 Honda CB750K - Cafe RacerThis is my 1978 Honda CB750 that I've built into a Cafe Racer style bike. I took this bike completely down to a bare frame and built it from the ground up.Motor:The motor was gone through with a complete top-end rebuild. The bottom end was checked and in good shape. The ignition has been upgraded to a Dyna electronic system for more consistent and strong spark. It is fitted with a custom 4-into-1 race exhaust fabricated by Carpy. It is a replica of the old Yoshimura systems factory Honda ran back in the day.Chassis:Chassis wise the forks have been rebuilt and fitted with new progressive rate springs with new coil shocks in the rear to match. All non-essential electronics have been removed leaving just a headlight (low & high beam) tail-light horn and starter. Custom rear-sets and linkage along with clip-on bars put you in a race stance when riding the bike. All levers and cables are brand new along with an oversized front master-cylinder with an upgraded caliper off an 80's Goldwing. The front brake gives plenty of stopping power.Fascia:The tank is from a 76' F model or SS model. The rear fairing and seat were custom made by Ian Halcott of Twinline Cycles. All electronics including the battery are hidden underneath. Both the tank and cowl have been sanded and polished to bare metal adding the bike's "raw" look. The wheels and hubs were disassembled sandblasted and powdercoated gloss black. They were laced up with HD stainless steel spokes from Buchanan's Spoke & Wheel. I trued them myself and they have no vibration whatsoever. This bike is a blast to ride. It isn't going to break any land-speed records and you aren't going to hang with your buddy's R1 in a straight-away but the smile it puts on your face when you open it up and hear all 4 cylinders purr is priceless. The nostalgia of riding a 30+ year old bike is awesome. It has its quirks but it's old... (It's cold-natured and as with any 4 cylinder the carbs always can use some tweakage). Will help with delivery within a 200 mile radius of Huntington WV.
