1975 Honda GL1000 Rare 1st Year Gold Wing

A very rare 1975 Honda Gold Wing GL1000 with 30945 original miles.
This Bike has had a low profile alloy wheel and low profile tire installed on the rear it also has had a smaller diameter GL1200 alloy wheel and tire installed on the front. The front and back wheels are a matching set.It also has a Corbin Gunfighter seat.
This bike was a barn find 15 years ago in Wisconsin, bought it from the guy who found it. I restored the bike to running condition, he gas tank was removed and sandblasted on the inside and sprayed with an inner liner to prevent the tank from rusting in the future and theCarburetors were rebuilt.Tail light was replaced with a smaller light. New Exhaust system installed and it has had some other small cosmetic changes. I have done all the changes and can answer any questions.
I have the original seat,original taillight, n extra set of carburetors, n extra side cover, nd an extra false take lid that will be included with the bike when it is sold.
(as an fyi, he extra false tank lid is because, s some of you know this bike has a false gas tank with a tray in it. I took a ride on this bike a few years back and laid the keys in the tray and someone else came along and shut the lid, t the time it required using a screw driver to pry under the lid to open it. The tank lid was repaired but has some small dents on it. I was going to replace the lid with the extra one but never got around to it.)
I parked this bike two years ago indoors, s at the time I had six bikes and was stretched for time riding all of them and keeping them in tip top condition. I am now reducing my collection and have reluctantly decided to part with my cherished Gold Wing. I would rather see someone who loves these bikes take it and keep it in the top condition that it needs to be, ather than see it sitting in my garage.
The bike was running when it was parked and I put it into proper storage, rained the carburetor bowls, amp; gas tank, nd drained the brake fluid in the front and back brake master cylinders, nd opened the brake caliper drain on the front end. With the bike having sat for over 2 years I believe the Brake Master Cylinders will need to be removed and new rubber seals put in.
I put a small amount of gas in the tank a few days ago and attempted to start it up, t sputtered some and then quit running, believe the Carbs need to be synched, nd probably some new plugs. The engine turns over freely, o oil, oolant, r fork seal leaks. This bike has always been stored indoors, nd in the 15 years that I have owned it I have taken good care of it, specially regular oil changes.
It has never been ridden any great distance in the 15 years that I have owned it, he longest ride being around 200 miles.
I would recommend going through the bike checking everything before riding it. However overall this bike is in great condition as it has been stored indoors and with a motorcycle cover on it.
Please ask all your questions before bidding, his is not a win the auction and then come and view the bike, ou win the auction you own it.
As a final note this is not a show room condition bike, t has some imperfections that come with a 40 year old original bike. But it is an original rare first year 1975 Honda Gold Wing in SOLID condition and with some small changes could be put back in original condition!
I have a set price that I will let this bike go for, f it does not meet that price then I will put the bike back in storage and keep it. I will not accept any low ball email offers.
