Description

This little guy started life as a Detroit Police Downtown Patrol Bike.
It was used for a couple of year, hen it sat, hen it was sold at auction. I got it from a mechanic who rebuilt the carb and did a few other things to it, ut the customer couldn't pay the bill. It is street ready and purrs like a kitten. While in the Police service, t was well maintained and got more oil changes than necessary. It has a scratch on the gas-tank decal and aa few little nicks here and there. These bikes were generally assigned to one officer only and are nice little bikes.
this bike is the perfect starter bike, r a bike for someone who is not tall. The seat is only 26inches off the ground. Notice it has no sissy bar. If you are learning, ou do not want a sissy bar, ut they are available with the backrest for a very reasonable price. Like the light bulb, f you want one and are the winning bidder, will be happy to install one for you if you buy it and have it shipped here...it is only 4 bolts I believe. A beginner who might panic while first learning does not want a sissy bar in case they decide to jump off and let the bike go. A sissy bar would prevent that and snarl you up with the bike.
Let's hope that doesn't happen. By the way, do not have one on my rider... just don't like the idea of no escape --just in case.
I am going to include a "But It Now" on this auction just in case somebody wants to ride soon and is willing to pay the price I believe it might sell for anyway.
I also have it listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction.
I stress that this bike purrs like a kitten and runs just like it should.
The tires will need to be replaced sooner or later because they are original... The rear is more worn than the front. Not expensive on this model. I do not change tires myself, ut it can also be arranged with the same shop that did the other work. They do very good work. Unless you are going to use this as a daily commuter, think they will be just fine for a few seasons, epending on the length of your season where you live.
I have this bike listed locally for $1250 -- same as the "Buy It Now" price. I think that is a very fair, f not low price for such a nice little bike.
Good luck.. $200 due on paypal at auction close (24 hours) and cash or Legitimate Cashier's Check before shipping.
NO FULL PAYMENTS WITH PAYPAL PLEASE.
