1978 Honda XL250S Dual Sport Beautiful Condition 1st Year

I am listing several vintage original owner Hondas for a friend so please check my other auctions. This is a one owner 1978 XL250S . Always garage kept, nd in beauutiful survivor condition. No dents, lastic and paint still shine excellent. It received new tires a couple of years ago. Bike starts and runs like new. The only real wear would be normal foot rub wear on the engine covers and some on the frame. The speedometer shows 17,303 but that is INCORRECT. About 8 years ago, he original speedo broke and was replaced with this one . He wrote the mileage on it in marker at the time of replacement, hich was 3867 at the time, nd estimates he put about another 1000 on it afterwards, ive or take a few (he is 84 but his memory is still kickin!). So figure around 4867 miles according to the owner.
Owner informed me that the muffler is aftermarket installed in the 1980s. Also has upgraded rear shocks, ossibly vintage Ohlins? They are stamped " Made in the USA PE430 P7084". I did notice 3 of the signals arent working. Could be just bulbs? I asked the owner, e said I always just used hand signals (old schooler!). I encourage you to look at these pictures in GREAT detail ! You could spend a little time with some soap and a tooth brush to really make her glow !
IMPORTANT NOTE: The titles is original and unsigned. I will have it signed by your request. Reason is, n some states (and check your local laws FIRST), ou can request the DMV to create a new title and still keep the original for framing/collectors purposes. If you do not desire this, t will be signed by the owner before I send it. But as I said, ake sure to contact your DMV as some states do not allow this. Thanks for looking !
