Description

The 1974 Honda CL 200 is a rare bike. It was onlymanufactured forone year and its value increases with time. However rarethough, t shares many features with common Honda CB 200. This makes most replacement parts available. This would be a relatively simple and definitelyworthwhile motorcycle to restore. It is a great size bike, mall and easy to control with great gas mileage, et enough power to ride at higher speeds. The condition of this Motorcycle isfair for the year but is being sold “AS IS". It runsand shifts through all gears, as compression and spark. All parts appear to be original; oil is changed, tored in heated garage. There appears to be a little oil near one shock, t doesn't seem to want tokeep the battery charged, ossibly the stator or wiring. One spark plug hole seemsloose until fully tightened and may need a helicoil, mall hole in exhaust pipe; head light and turn signal are broken, as capneeds new latch. These are the things I have noticed. Ican not guarantee anything else mechanicallybecause I have not had a chance to really go through it. As well as thefact that Ionly have alimited amount of mechanicalknowledge. The reasonI'm selling this motorcycle is simply a matter of time, would really like to restore it, ut I cant see much free time in the foreseeable future. About a year ago I purchased several things for the bike as part of restoring it. Those are; new battery, oil and wires, park plugs, ood used sprocket, uel shut off valve, oints, gnition switch, ront tire tube, hrottle cable andfoot shifter. These areall included and some are alreadyon the bike. Included with the bike is an old style NY license placewhich is on the bike. Itcomes with the originalowner’s manual, the title from aprevious ownerand a Bill of Sale. The original titleto the bike was signed bya previous owner who never registeredit. I don't know exactly how this works at DMV, ut it should be doable, he title is Clear. The bike came from a friend of my brothers and we took it fromhis heated basement where it sat for many years.
