I’ve owned many Gold Wings in my past and my wife always wanted me to buy a Harley. I tell her that nothing handles like a GL1500 and that, lthough I love the sound and the looks of a big Harley, hey ride like a fat pig. Then I discovered the Honda Valkyrie: Look at that monstrous six cylinder engine and those six carburetors, hose six-in-two exhaust pipes, apologize to your Hog fans, ut it looks even better than a fat boy. If you have ever ridden a Gold Wing 1500 (or 1800) you know what I mean by superb handling, hese frames are so stiff that you can throw this 650 pound machine around the corner with pinky effort. This particular one is an exceptional bike; essentially it is 12 years old and new at the same time. The previous owner put only 2,500 miles on it in 10 years! I put on another 3,500, t now has just over 6,000. It has all the chrome parts that Honda offered on the bike, ncluding the radiator screen, adiator cap, andlebar risers, ide plates, ou name it. It also has running lights; these three bright lights make sure they see you coming.
The pictures show the bike with the large screen (it also comes with a shorty, ut it buffets me since I am 6”6” tall) and with the backrest seats. The bike also comes with the original new single seat, cover ($175, have the receipt), riginal aluminum handlebar risers, xtra set of highway pegs (I put on new Kuryakyn footpegs for my long legs). I also put NEW TIRES on it in April 2015 (cost $750 for original Dunlops, have the receipt). I will also throw in three helmets, ne full face, ne open face and one half helmet (I hope you (and yours) have big heads they are all XL). I also bought saddlebags, ou are welcome to have them, never put them on since I feel it takes away from the bike’s masculinity. This bike needs nothing but a new owner. Also published at eBay.com
