HOINDA 1973 XR75 FIRST YEAR CLEAN BIKE FOR A EASY RESTORATION

Description

This is a good project bike for someone that is mechanically inclined and is looking for a good core bike to fix up. Its up to the new owner on how far they want to take it.If you are a vintage Honda XR75 fan you know this is the first model year and very difficult to find in decent condition. I will go into detail below but if you have additional questions do not hesitate to contact me.I would be happy to answerany questionsfor you.This model fully restored will typically sell for4,500 +so it is worth putting the effort into.

Bike details:

This XR is a real survivor in great shape for an easy restoration.

• Frame - Frame is in good shape no smashed tubes the front down tube has two crimp spots at the top like an aftermarket oil cooler or something was mounted there. they do not affect the integrity of the frame, ould fill them with some body filler and paint to repair.
  
• Bodywork - front / back fenders / gas tank / side number plates are the original paint still looks good for its age. Front number plate isin great shape.
• Suspension - forks are in nice shape with no leaks but there are a few pits here and there. Fork bottoms look good, hocks work fine and should clean up to look good.
• Motor - Engine starts right up one kick runs smooth and powerful, o smoking, hifts good, dles nice, riginal carb.
  
• Exhaust - Pipe is original and is in very nice condition.looks like there is one small repair in the muffler, ther then that the pipe is in grat shape. The pipes are the hardest part to find for these old XR's.
• Wheels - rims have some pitting nothing major the chrome looks good, he pitting is not that bad were you can use them as they are, r if your going the total restoration 100 point look i guess you could have them chromed, ut i would use them as they are. (see picture).
• Seat - original in very good shape
  
• Controls -throttl, lever', erch covers, ar, ill switch and Grip's all work.

CORRECTION THE EXHAUST PIPE IS IN GREAT SHAPE THAT IS NOT A REPAIR IN THE MUFFLER LIKE I MENTIONED, T IS AN INSPECTION PLATE WITH TWO SCREWS IN IT THAT'S THE WAY IT IS MADE MY MISTAKE.
