Hello and thank you for viewing this auction. For sale is my very clean and great survivor, ll original plastics/frame/motor, onda 1996 CBR 900RR. I have owned the bike for approximately 2 years and have put very little miles on this beautiful bike since taking ownership. The color scheme is one of the more rare 1996 versions, here I have done a few mild customizing to both keep the factory look but yet add some subtle differences over others. I'm an extreme bike enthusiast, 2 years old and have taken great care of this bike since my ownership. Below outlines the current condition upgrades and features:
MECHANICAL CONDITION:
1. I ride the bike once a week for about 50 miles as the bike is in "good" mechanical condition. I would say "great"...but at 21,956 miles, hich actually is rather low for a near 20 year old bike(1000 miles per year) but the valves could use a maintenance adjustment if you are very picky like me2. The oil, iler, ir filter have all been replaced this riding season with full inspection. Does not leak a drop of oil that I can see.3. Tires have approx 50% left in both front an rear4. Always run 93 octane fuel and fuel treatment along with winterize the fuel tank in the winter during low riding times...so gas tank is extremely clean.5. Again, ll original, otor(to my knowledge) has never been opened or modified as I do all my own work and maintenance6. I replaced the brake pads last year so maybe has 500 miles on them. New brake fluid and antifreeze as well7. New DID o-link chain lubed routinely8. Two Brothers Slip on exhaust with factory headers so no need for a jet kit9. New steel rear sprocket...can not remember the re-gear ratio...but I think maybe 2 up in back only....but I am 6'0 and 240 pounds as I have owned over 30 sport bikes in my life and with the light weight and power band range, his bike still delivers a great power to weight ratio blast and should not be really considered by a novice rider at all. I would prefer a seasoned rider for safety.
CUSTOMIZED FEATURES & UPGRADES:
1. Removed a few factory graphic for a more clean look2. Polished aluminum frame and swing-arm3. Rims are chrome and "do" show signs of some chrome normal wear with painted red wheel inserts.4. Lower link approx 2 inches in rear and 2 inches in front with shock setting to ride rather stiff. I am 6'0 and 240 pounds and "never" bottoms out.5. Swing arm adjustable extensions billet aluminum6. LED custom turn signals7. Custom diamond plate undertail8. Second look seat skins9. Custom mirror blocks10. Custom anodized red levers11. LED red lights mounted thru out the bike as photos at night12. Lots of subtle custom parts and features thru out
I am sure I missing some things but this is great bike and now time to go to another great CBR 900RR lover...HAPPY BIDDING and GOD BLESS!!
