. This is a no reserve auction and the Honda will be sold to the highest bidder, n or off auction.

This particular auction is for an authentic original vintage 1971 Honda CL450 Scrambler motorcycle in the factory Poppy Yellow Metallic paint color as shown. The paint is excellent. Located at my home in Georgia, t is an unmolested very attractive matching numbers survivor. Manufactured in April of 1971 it has always been parked in a climate controlled garage. Purchased new in Wisconsin it was used as a transportation to work bike and used only on paved roads in the summer - no off road riding. It starts, uns and drives very well. Everything is in operating condition. The speedometer shows 15,157 miles. Mufflers are original and solid. There are 3 small 1/8" holes in the bottom of the muffler but the person who bought it new said the holes were put there years ago for water/condensation drainage - could very well be because the muffler is very solid on the bottom as well as everywhere else - it has a small scuff on the bottom of the heat shield where it looks like it scraped against something - probably not concrete, s nothing elase is scraped up. The tires are quite old and may be useable for slow riding but should be replaced for safety concerns. Front tire is a Dunlop Gold Seal 3:25 X 19. The rear tire is a Continental 4:00 X 18. Electric start works well - the bike comes with a good battery. A local gentleman friend who is a vintage Honda expert came over just to look at it and he said is is indeed a very good untouched original. Serial number is CL4504108457. Engine number is CL450E4108483. Engine is the correct original one. Comes with a clear title and a bill of sale. Titled as a 1972 using the engine number - a common practice in many States in those years. Excellent period survivor.

Inspections are welcome and encouraged at any time before the auction ends. Shipping or collecting the motorcycle is the buyers responsibility. If necessary I can arrange it or assist with arrangement and can help with loading.

Winning the auction does not mean that you now have the privilege of coming to inspect the motorcycle to see if you like it. When the auction is over, t is your motorcycle and payment is due at the close of the auction per these instructions. The Honda is at my home and can be left here for up to 30 days at no charge before collection. After that I have the option of charging a storage fee. In my experience a lot of the motorcycles sold on ebay are usually a wholesale priced bargain. I have sold approximately 25 cars and motorcycles on ebay and they were all a bargain.

After selling some of the highest quality and hardest to find car parts, ars and motorcycles on ebay for over 17 years I have retired and am winding down and selling off the last of my vintage parts. Most of them have been in the garage for 50 years or more and their "condition", ven though the part might be new old stock does not necessarily mean that it looks like it was made yesterday. Keep in mind that there may be some (and may not) minor flaws (surface rust, icks, tc) simply from age and many years of storage.
