Description

Clean super low mileage machine with no damage. Pipes are original and don't leak. ON a scale of 1-10, his is a 9.5. Gas tanks in the 60's and 70's had no protection from rust so gasoline with alchohol will absorb moisture out of the air and rust the tank. This tank has been "creamed" which means it is coated to prevent that. Duel fuel lines have filters to prevent anything from plugging the tiny carb ducts. IT WILL NEED A BATTERY...they only last a couple years. This machine was used to cruise the backroads on sundays with no rain on the machine. It does have some surface rust on the rear wheel but nothing serious. Everything works
3,847 original miles
One of the turn signals on the rear has a slight crack in the yellow cover but you have to look hard to see it. You can buy these yet easily if you need perfect.
This is a great restore machine....never abused and no hacked up with modifications...all original top to bottom.
I have not run this machine is 3 years...but it will start and run fine with fresh fuel....and a battery.
I was going to save this for my grandson, ut he doesn't seem to have a desire for it...and well...it's time. I sold the sister to it several years ago, red) and this one was the best of both.
Shifts smoothly, ach works, nd burns NO OIL.
What can I say.....machine is located in Nashville area...call and look at it before bidding if you want.

I just read about another nice CL at auction and something about ready to cruse 70-75 mph all day long...well, hese scramblers are torquey because they are designed to pull off road and well...scramble some.....gearing is one to one in top gear and if you are going to drive it 70 mph, ou will be winding it right out. This machine was never really designed for that. It wants to run from 25- to 50 mph just fine but over that....well, t isn't what it was made for. So if you want a freeway cruiser, his isn't it. But it is perfect for back-roading and the pipes are up out of the way so mud doesn't cook on them. Fun and easy to drive and a great first bike for anyone who has never driven one before. From 16 to 76 this is a great bike.
