1978 Honda GL1000 Gold Wing Goldwing

Up for sale is a 1978 Honda gl1000.The bike was purchased non running from an individual in Duluth Georgia who got in over his head with the bike.The carburetors were rebuilt using Randakk master kits and syncronized.The bike got new spark plugs, xhaust pipe to cylinder head gaskets, xhaust cross tube gasket, attery, oolant, am belts, inal drive oil, ork oil, irrors, rake fluid, uel lines, nd fuel filter.One side of the exhaust was replaced to fix a hole in the muffler you could put your thumb through. Ifyou look closely you will notice that the tips don't match.The seat was replaced with one of the correct year. The cover is lacking, ut the seat the came with the bike was one of those heinous double bucket saddleman seats. People tell me they are comfortable, ut I cannot abide by their appearance.The bike came originally without front turn signals. When the mirrors were replaced a set with turn signals built in were installed. Original Honda turn signal and the mounting hardware was prohibitively expensive.The valves were adjusted previous to carburetor syncronization.The left side head gasket and the associated o rings were replaced to fix a problem with coolant entering the combustion chamber ( Intermittent white smoke ).The bike got four filter and oil changes while being brought back to road worthy status.The bike came with a brand new set of Kenda tires installed.The bike has been waxed once since I have owned it. Although the bike cleans up nicely, t's not going to win any beauty contests.The bike is a great rider. If you want a pristine Gold Wing polished by the hair of maidens this really isn't the bike for you.Bike is currently full of non ethanol marine gas and20/50 Valvoline motorcycle oil.The handlebars look to be slightly bent, ut barely noticeable.Bike is sold without any warranties either expressed or implied.I will be more than happy to help your shipper load the bike.A helmet and jacket will be made available for a test ride when bike is picked up.You are more than welcome to start it up stone cold.Please be aware that all of my bikes are stored with the carburetors run dry and on a trickle charger, o it takes about a minute of cranking for them to fill up the carbs and run.Georgia does not require a title for bikes this old. Ownership will be transferred by a bill of sale.
