This is basically a one owner (same family) 1982 Honda GL500 V Twin with 9980 miles on it. It includes the original manual, ales literature from the showroom floor in 1982, nd a Haynes manual. It has a clean Illinois Title. It is virtually a new bike, can find no significant wear or blemishes on the bike. It was NOT cleaned or polished before the pictures were taken (the front of the engine shows some dirt in the pictures, ff the front tire). It has been kept in a heated garage, nd serviced by the Honda Dealership.
All Latches work perfectly, ll snaps work, ll side covers are like new, othing broke. The rubber is in great shape (not just the tires, ut all the rubber parts are still look clean and soft) Brakes are great. Gauges perfect, oth seats are in great shape!
Mufflers, xhaust, ll like new. Tires in great shape. Really is it ready to ride. It always starts, ven after sitting for weeks, ut it can be cold natured (I think Many GL500's were jetted "lean" and tend to be sometimes slow to start when cold or after sitting for weeks. Sometimes you have to work the choke for a few minutes till it warms up, ut it always does start!) After it warms it, t runs out real good!
It does include the "two up" seat with a rear rack and passenger back rest. It too is in very good condition
Again, feel the this is a "near museum" quality piece, am selling it because I have over two dozen motorcycles, ave two Silver 1982 GL500's and dont need two of them! You will not be disappointed. I would really like to see it go to a good home, dont really have the space to store it this winter.
