Feast your eyes on this 1969 Z50A K1 Honda Mini Trail (Monkey Bike). When I purchased it, t was in poor condition, ut running very well. I have several photographs that were taken by the company that restored this for me which I will include for posterity. It was originally purchased with the yellow & white paint scheme (see pre-resto pics). I paid over $2K for the paint and resto work on top of the original $600 I paid for the raw,but unmolested bike. I easily have over $2,600 invested. When I purchased it, rode it for about a week in my back yard just to get the nostalgia feeling. Once I was satisfied it was truly and well worth spending the money to have it restored, located a professional restoration company (Reborn Relics). I had them research the VIN, nd found it was one of 150,000 produced in 1969. It was manufactured in the Ohio factory. I then had them research the original paint color choices and then completely strip down the bike to the bare frame for primer and painting. There was no motor work done. I just had them sandblast or clean all the external parts and motor, nd re-paint it in the red and silver color scheme it now has. I did this for sentimental purposes as my father bought me a brand new one in the red & silver color scheme back in 1969 when I was just 9 years old. I enjoyed many summer and fall seasons with it at our cottage in western PA. As it now sits, t is is near perfect, ully restored condition. Comes with the original key, t will need a battery and probably a fresh tune up as it has never beengassedup or running after the restoration. I picked it up from the resto shop and ever since then have had it proudly displayed in my home office. Unfortunately, have had some substantial financial challenges hit me, nd now, adly have decided to part with this honored and cherished memory maker. I know someone out there will love having it (and maybe even taking it out for an afternoon with their children or grandchildren). I am setting a low reserve just to protect some of my initial investment. Who ever wins this auction will have a very rare and beautiful motorbike that will only continue to appreciate in value! I will also be including the pre-restoration pics mentioned above along with some original/vintage newspaper/magazine advertising I located that shows the red & silver bike as well as a nice wall clock I found that features the red & silver mini bike on the face.Buyer to pay all shipping and or crating costs.
