Vintage 1975 Honda CB550 custom brat style cafe racer. This bike has hadabsolutelyeverything either replaced with new items or has been redone. It needs nothing other than a new home. It was a one owner bike and only had 9,000 miles on it before beingprofessionallyrebuilt, nd has had roughly 3,000 more since its completion. The original owner took it on a big road trip across the US shortly after getting it and wound up meeting his wife while riding it, ho eventually forced him to stop riding it after having a close call with biker gang at a bar in Texas. It had since been used just to ride around the block on every once in a while. The engine ran great so it was inspected and given a full tune up along with being coated in special high temp ceramic engineenamel and having all the old hardware changed to new polished stainless allen heads.Carburetors wereultrasonicallycleaned and fully rebuilt and rejetted, long withreceivingnew high performance dirtbike style air filters. Ignition system was cleaned and adjusted to factory spec. The engine was finished off with a new black full exhaust which looks great and sounds mean along with providing a nice increase in power. Mechanically the bike is perfect and it has no leaks or problems. The wheels have been powdercoated satin black and have all new bearings in them. It also has new tubes and dual sport style tires that still have the nipples on them. The brakes were rebuilt front and rear and upgraded to a new stainless line for increased stopping power, long with having the old glazed front rotor and rear drum resurfaced. The tank was repainted satin white and I had the couple dings in the tank left in it because I thought the story behind them was pretty funny. The seat is a custom made steel seat pan that was covered in real leather from a vintage bomber jacket. The wiring harness has been entirely reworked to a clean simple minimal harness with a light weightmaintenancefree lithium battery. There is also new very bright custom headlight and LED tail light for great night time visibility. This bike is setup as kick start only although the stock electric starter is still in the engine and was functioning previously. It starts first kick hot or cold without choke. Has a clean/clear VT title/transferable registration in my name and can easily be registered anywhere without a problem.
