Description

I have one school bike with 70 miles, nd one with 72,000 miles. One tank has a small ding, he other tank has a dent and the extra tank has a dent, he tanks are clean inside. The one bike needs a fairing windshield, he one fairing has the optional gauges, temp and clock. One bike needs rear turn signal lenses. The school bike seat is mint and the other has a few tares. All the plastic is in good shape. I think everything else is there to put the bikes back together; not totally sure until I start bolting everything back, ight need a few things here and there, utt looks like it’s all there? The high milled bike has newer tires and the school bike has the original tires, he previous owner had run them on the other bike. The high milled bike started to smoke a little on initial start up’s, e took it down to the dealer to get checked out. The dealer said it needed valve guide seals and other than that had good compression and was still in great shape. The owner decide to put the low milled school bike engine in the other and started taking them apart, e never did swap the engines and remain like they are today. I purchased the bikes to restore the high milled bike and try to leave the school bike original. I have the original clean title for the high milled bike and the school bike will need the paper work filed with your local DMV to get the title. The DMV is aware of the school bikes, nce it is verified and the paper work filled out they can issue you a title. I have a few extra new parts that will go with the bikes, have three Earl Performance Products Braided Brake Hoses Part #610820 Banjo 20” and one Part #610818 Banjo 18” I also have a new Mono Shock By Progressive Suspension, nc. Part # PS-17023-98B Adaptive Single Shock W/Spring, emote Reservoir W/Adjustable Compression And ReboundDamping. Application: Honda CBX ’81-’82 I also have a new set of front fork springs by Progressive Suspension, nc. Part #PS-1112 The stock pipes on the school bike are in great shape the high milled bike stock pipes have some rust holes as seen in picture. I have two sets of aftermarket pipes, ne set are RC Performance and the other are Supertrapp, he plates and end caps have never been used. The 1981 is the rarest of the four year production having most of them donated to the schools. The deal that Honda made with the school district is, he bikes were to be returned or junked and were not to be sold to the public. The school district later on asked Honda to change there decision so they could sell the remaining bikes and put the money into the school fund and Honda agreed. How many are left today? The 1981 is a great looking bike and will keep going up in value year after year; especially with the history behind it.If you have any questions feel free to give me a call. Dave 801-638-0629
