It has come time to sell my Trail 70. I purchased the bike back in 2008 and completed the bike as it sits now in 2010. Since completion it has only been ridden 1,300 miles. The reason for selling it is I now have two small children and no longer have the time to ride it. It has been garaged the entire time I have owned it.
I originally purchased the bike to be a commuter which I did a handful of times from Suisun to Benicia (25 miles)on the stock motor. Riding it such a great distance wide open I ended up ruining the motor. At the time my friend had a Trail 70 with a 110cc Chinese motor on it so I decided I wanted to build the bike with a bigger engine. The first thing I bought was an OGM 150cc motor for it. While researching for parts I came across the Trail Buddy website and decided to go crazy on my build. I bought a frame conversion kit (NOT original frame) to allow for more fuel and had it powdercoated orange along with the factory front and rear fender, hain guard, nd metal headlight bucket. Once completed I did the same ride to Benicia and hit a top speed of 73 MPH!!! Bike has always been registered and insured. List of Parts, am sure I am forgetting some: 1979 Honda Trail 70 Powdercoated frame, enders, eadlight bucket Shortened front fender to fit the motor OGM 150cc Motor with 26mm Mikuni Carb Lighting coil 4 Speed Manual Transmission Big Bore Thumper Carbon fiber exhaust Inverted front fork assembly with disc brakes and locking steering column Aluminum Bar Risers Renthal low rise bar for supermoto look Tinted windscreen Aluminum Headlight Brackets SkyTeam Gauge cluster Wink Mirror Adjustable gold clutch lever Early 70's Honda Sticker kit SkyTeam locking seat Carbon fiber front and rear signals Full 12v wiring kit with working signals, orn, tc.
