Howdy! I am offering up my 1998 Honda CBR 600 SE ( limited edition Smokin Joe's F3 ) for sale. This is a truly pampered one-owner (myself) bike with only 9256 miles. I hate to part with it. but I never get to ride it anymore and it's taking up space. I probably should have sold it years ago. This bike has been immaculately maintained and garage kept since it was new. I personally did most of the maintenance myself. The carbs were recently (this year) torn completely down. cleaned and rebuilt with new gaskets & o-rings; a pretty involved project which is going to buy lots of worry-free riding (or storage) time. I also personally balanced/sync'd the carbs AND adjusted the mixtures. so it runs like the proverbial sewing machine. The original fuel pump failed and has been replaced with an after-market Honda Accord fuel pump (see CBR forums for history on that). The bike fell over once upon a time in a Texas parking lot (due to asphalt melt) and so it has some minor scratches on the left fairing and stator cover as shown in the pictures. For those who may not know. the Smokin Joe ("SE") variant is a limited edition variant of the regular F3. I think there were 500 made in 96 and 1500 in 1998 and the actual # out of the 1500 can be derived from the VIN. I did it once but I don't recall what the # is for this one. There are some phony Smokin Joe's people have made. but this is not one of those. Anyway. other than the colors and graphics. it's identical to an F3. This is a 49-state (non-California) emissions model. This bike is all original. Stock. This is a great around-town bike that is easy to ride and only requires 87 octane fuel. The gas mileage is not as good as a moped or scooter. but it's better than most cars & a hell of a lot more fun. Last time I checked it was around 35mpg. The tires are Michelin Pilot Power and have less than 400 miles on them. The original owner's manual and factory toolkit are included. There is a mag-Knight tank protector magnet which of course is included. Also I am including the Honda Service manual and can show service history with receipts. where applicable. I can throw in the little 5mm carb balance adapter if you are interested.
