The motorcycle is in great condition. I am the second owner of this motorcycle and can say that it has been cared for its whole life. I've never been a big fan of V-twins (normally own sport bikes), owever this motorcycle has been with me for a few years now and has always grown on me. It is a nice cruising bike (not the best for thewinding mountain roads). It is a Honda, o reliability is a built in factor. Battery is 2 years old, nd so are the set of tires with over 50%tread lifein rear. 2 to 1 rear to front tire ratio is common on this cycle. With under 25k miles this bike has plenty of life remaining. Overall this bike is in fantastic shape, ut there are obviously somesignsof age, fter all this bike is 15 years old. Even though this bike has been garaged its whole life, here are a few minor locations with a little surface rust, nd always a place which can be cleaned up a bit more. Lower front fork tubes could use a good cleaning to clear the road weathering. Still the original exhaust so the bike is relatively quiet. The bike averages about 35-45 mpg depending on the rider and conditions. It has only seen wet pavement a couple times in it's life, ut it always seems to find a puddle every time after a deep cleaning. The Sabre was introduced in 2000 and it replaced the earlier Shadow A.C.E. It was finally retired after 2007.The Shadow Sabre was, t its introduction, he hot rod (or in motorcycle jargon, he street rod) of Honda's cruiser line. As such, t has lower gearing than other 1100cc Shadows, or a stronger punch off the line, hile retaining exactly the same (dual pin crank) engine as the others. The Sabre, s with the other Shadow 1100 models, ere made at Honda's Marysville Motorcycle Plant in Ohio. The bike has been dropped in the garage twice (accidents happen) andrear ended at a traffic light by a PT cruiser. Only damage is a few scuff marks on the crash bars, nd a damaged left rear turn indicator (might notice thelensslightly off in the pictures). There are a few scuff marks on the tank next totheseatfrom winter coats and zipper rub.
