Description

This is my completely restored xr75,i have purchased as many new parts from honda as possible, used very few aftermarket parts when oem parts were no longer available... Started with a running used bike i purchased from a freind,i had all black frame parts and frame sandblasted and powdercoated in gloss black... The engine cases were split to inspect all internal transmission parts, then the cases were cleaned and polished before being re-assembled... Cylinder was honed and new rings installed, both valves were replaced with new and also new top and bottom timing gears and timing chain... Every nut, screw and bolt was replaced with new hardware from hond, you wont find any hardware store bolts on this bike anywhere... Tank, fenders and side panels were painted in the correct rubber grey paint and aftermarket honda wings and xr75 decal were installed... I purchased all the warning and spec stickers from honda... New spokes and rims front and rear also from honda, polished hubs and new ebc brake shoes installed...New aftermarket tires and tubes. New aftermarket rear shocks with correct showa 116 stickers. New honda shift lever and clutch actuator arm on clutch cover... New aftermarket chain and sprockets... Front fork upper tubes were re-hard chromed, new seals and dust wipers, and lower tubes were polished...New chrome handlebars from re-mx,all new aftermarket cables, levers and perches, and new honda grips and lever rubber covers... Had the seat pan powdercoated, new seat foam and seat cover were professionally installed... The original exhaust was sandblasted and dings were filled before being painted in high heat flat black... Also included is a red-racer dg replica exhaust, had bought it when i planned on maybe riding this bike, but it just became a restoration project i eventually knew would be too nice to be used so it was just stored in the spare bedroom to be displayed... When i decided to list it on ebay i took it out of the house to the garage and it was filled with oil and fuel for the first time... It fired on the second kick and runs perfectly like a new xr back in its day with no funny noises or smoke... Rode it around my yard and shifts and stops just like it should... This is a collector quality bike in beautiful condition, there are only a few minor imperfections like the front fender has a very small chip in the paint on the front left bottom edge thats not noticeable unless you are looking for it... Also there is a very small amount of surface rust inside the bottom of the tank,it wasnt bad enough in my opinion to have it seal coated, nd lastly the stator cover mounting tab that protrudes from the case behind the front sprocket had been broken off when i got the bike, probably happened sometime in its life due to a broken chain,i just put a screw thru the cover and used a nut on the backside, you cant tell by looking at it unless the stator cover is taken off, just want it to be known..Original owners manual, shop manual and sales brochure form 74 will all be included along with spare warning, spec and various other spare decals i have... Frame#1137783 Motor#1126564 I listed it with a clear title, ebay makes you put something there,it does not have a title,im not even sure if they had titles for off road bikes in 74,but i will give a bill of sale if wanted... This is a showroom condition i feel museum quality bike i really hate to sell but would like to free up cash for some other projects i need to finish..
