This is a CB1100F that I was intending to keep but have reluctantly decided to sell. Too many bikes and projects to finish. The bike is pretty much in the same condition as when I purchased it other than brand-new tires. These bikes are the best in-line fours Honda ever made. The new CB1100s are down over 20HP than the original and do not handle as well. Newer is not always better. Honda came out with the excellentCB750F in 1979 and then the 900F, hen came out with the 1100F with larger forks, iggy back shocks, ast wheels and carb and engine mods to make it the fastest bike ever when it was released. Then right after discontinued in favor of the new style Vfours to stay up with the all new style Ninja and FJ.
The only issues mechanically: It has the usual carbs leaking from sitting with fuel in it from previous owner before I got it. Honda has the rubber-tipped needles which need to be replaced after this. 29$ a set for the needles and cleaning up the bowls should put things right. I put new spark plugs in it after I purchased it and rode only a few miles to make sure of no other issues. Tranny shifts smooth, lutch did not slip and engine pulled nice with lots of torque from idle on up. Surprisingly, the K&N pods seem to be properly jetted that do not usually do that well on CV carbs and it also has a Yoshimura exhaust. It had no strange noises or smoke from the engine. The bike wasa nice smooth runner on my test drive but was starting to load up a little off idle from the carbs flooding at the end of my test ride.
Brakes seem good front and back. Body work seems straight only one tab missing off one side cover. It would look better with decals and paint, retty plain looking in solid color. The small signal lights are not working and horn is missing. Other than that, he electrical wiring looks good. Good battery. The starter solenoid has been replaced and it also has Andrews high output coils.
These bikes are a pleasure to ride and are going up in value all the time. It is going to be a pretty easy bike to completely restore and I am starting at a low no reserve price and hoping for it to be bid up.
I will not ship but will help load it if you send a shipper to pick up.
$500.00 non-refundable Paypal Deposit due within 48 hours of listing close. For remaining amount due, ashon pickup or certified bank check that clears my bank before buyer can pick up the bike.I can keep the bike stored in my garage for a reasonable amount of time so you do not have to pick up right away making it more convenient for you.The bike still needs to be paid in full 7 days after auction ends.
These bikes do not come up for sale often and when they do not starting out as low as this one.If you always wanted one or had one and wish you had never sold it,probably like I am going to feel when this ones gone. Here is your chance.
Thanks
