This low mileage 1989 Honda GB500 is a rare find with only 421 verifiable actual miles. I purchased this motorcycle from the estate of a friend who was the original owner. He purchased many bikes with the intent to own but not ride. This is one of two GB500 motorcycles in his collection. I have already sold the other GB500 that had only 4 original miles. The two bikes were essentially in the same condition including minor cosmetic defects resulting from long term storage. This defects are discussed in this description and shown in the photographs for this listing. These bikes are fun to ride, reat looking, nd highly collectable. I own one of these as a daily driver and have driven it for 16,000 trouble free miles. After purchasing the bike from the estate, cleaned the fuel system including the tank, uel lines, nd carbs. I also replaced the petcock with a correct honda GB500 unit and installed a new battery. All fluids were replaced and a new spark plug installed. The bike has its original tires that show wear consistent with 421 miles of use. They are of course old but look good and do not show signs of dry rotting or cracking. The bike is very clean with all original tags and decals in place. The paint is shinny. All chrome finishes are excellent with no rust or pitting. The aluminum finish shows two areas of minor oxidation. The oxidized areas include a few minor marks on the front forks and a larger area on the lest side case cover. These are shown in the photos. I elected not to remove these oxidized spots because of potentially affecting the clear coat that Honda places on aluminum parts. I left that to the new owner. There is also a minor ding on the right side of the fuel tank. This ding is the size of a quarter and is very shallow. The paint in the ding is not scratched or broken. I speculate that something got dropped on the bike while in storage. As with the aluminum defect, have elected to not make a repair to this ding in order to leave the bike in its original unrestored condition. The bikes starts, uns, nd handles like a new bike. I have driven it a few miles and have had it up to highway speeds. Here is your rare change to own one of the desirable Honda GB500 motorcycles with essentially no miles on it.
