1978 Honda CX500 MotorcycleHonda's first water cooled bike
I'm no longer able to ride due to an injury from an auto accident soafter much contemplation, must part with it.I purchased the bike in 2011 from the original owner with the plans of restoring it.I put about 400 miles on it before parking it due to the tires being in bad shape. The tires currently on it are original. It has been parked in the garage & according to the previous owner, t always has been parked inside. It ran & handled great, ore get up & go then I imagined for a bike this size &the brakes are good.I last rode it in 2012, would start it about twice a monthup until Feb of 2014 when I had myfirst auto accident rendering me a quadriplegic. I have attempted to get it started with no luck. It turns over well, as good compression, ounds like it's not getting enough fuel. I believe the tank needs cleaned out. For the most part, verything is original. Front fender is chrome, ear fender is maroon, ankis black with silver flames (may have been repainted. Seat may have been reupholstered, t is in way to good of condition & the seat isn't attached, t lifts off. All lights, orn & instruments are in good working condition. Mufflers are in good working & visual condition (no rust or buildup).
