Honda CR250 1989 EVO MX BIKE

Honda CR250 1989 EVO MX BIKE. The bike starts. stops and has good compression. however the gears in the kick start slips alot  and doesn't fully engage when trying to kick over. needs replacing. Its had a replacement Honda front end as original forks were in a poor state (still have them if anyone wants them with the bike but would need serious TLC). replaced Honda clutch crankcasing. bought original CR new seat cover (not fitted yet). new stainless steel engine bolt kit has been fitted. replaced original rear and front fender. replaced rear brake caliper. new air filter. Ohlins mono shock not original Honda.

My uncle who restores old Maicos and 4 stroke bikes has repaired and fitted all parts. Its a good bike which I bought as a project to play on. owever a new job. new baby and nagging wife has forced a reluctant sale. bike is mechanically sound. only thing I think it needs is an exhaust gasket and replacement back brake pedal.  Those who know these bikes inside out will see the bike is all there. good project for someone or spares as frame/engine are 1989. I believe the frame to be from USA from VIN which is -03 (USA) so 1989.
