Description

Hello and thanks for looking. Six years in the making, his CB750K DOHC has undergone complete ground up restoration/modification. Here's the short and sweet of it. I will spare you stories of the blood, weat and tears of building a proper cafe bike. The frame has been stiffened and professionally welded and powder coated with a candy red. Steering head bearings replaced with All Balls tapered bearings. Seat cowl is a rare "Roman Helmet" styled piece. Both tank (stripped down to bare metal) and seat are professionally painted gun metal with matte black accents in the knee dents and as number plates on the cowl. The seat pad is also professionally upholstered and sits on a heavy gauge metal seat pan. Front fender has been bobbed, hot peened, nd lowered (though not quite a hugger). It's easily removable if one wishes to change the looks a bit. Engine has new gasket set with polished and drilled case covers. Carburetors are jetted (6 Sigma) for the chrome 4 into 1 exhaust with competition baffle (street baffle will be included in sale) and K&N filter. Stock air box has been retained. Carburetor tops are likewise polished. Engine case covers are fastened with polished stainless hex head cap screws. Valve cover has NOS fasteners. That means there is over $100 in stainless hardware alone! Adjustable rear sets are custom made one of's from machined billet aluminum. Swing arm has been professionally machined to accept tapered roller bearings, eplacing the stock plastic bushings. Swing arm has spools for race stand. Chain is a new RK 530 O-ring. Rear shocks are CB900 FVQ adjustable (pre-load and damping) Showa reservoir type with replacement Progressive springs. Shock tops have been polished. Front forks are polished, hortened by 2", nd rebuilt using Progressive springs. Clip-on bars are billet aluminum. Wheels have been rebuilt/re-laced and hubs polished and painted. Rear brake drum cover is drilled. Instrument panel is custom fabricated with custom indicator lights. Tachometer is NOS and electrical system is powered by a Ballistic Lithium Iron 8 cell unit. This bike has been entered in several shows over the past 3 years Evansville and Louisville) and has gotten a lot of attention especially at the Kentucky Kickdown. It has also been featured in Bike Bound (bikebound.com), f one would want further background information. This is a very nice cafe racer built the way a cafe racer should be.
