Description
1964 Honda CB77 Superhawk
In restorable condition.Clear Ohio title19,493 miles showing on the odometer. Title states mileage at 11,763 actual miles.Purchased from original owner in 2003. I haven't done anything with it since then, xcept store it in a dry place. This bike was originally purchased from Dick Klamforth Honda Sales in Columbus, hio. It was last registered for license in 1973! I would have to say that was the last time it has been run. A copy of the original title is included with this auction.- The engine is locked up and will need at least a top end overhaul.
- The seat has been poorly recovered.
- The front fender has a dent in it
- The front fender and the air cleaner side covers have been chrome plated and the chrome is peeling off.
- The right muffler has a small dent in it. (see in picture) Other than that the mufflers are in very good shape. They even have the baffles!
- The fuel tank will need to be cleaned. Looks like what is left behind when gasoline has evaporated after setting 40 years. There isn't any rust showing through. Rubber knee pads are missing and the tank badges are damaged. The little screws are there though.
- Handlebars and cables are not original, ut they are straight and wiring is routed through the bars like they should be.The front brakecable hasagrease fitting in it.
- Previous owner has added a heel portion of a CA77 Honda Dream shifter to make a heel-toe shifter. (nicely done weld job)
- The wiring harness is dated 1963 and is in very good condition.
- The battery terminals are in good condition and the lower rubber pad and the top hold down is included.
- The original seat bolts are there.
- The optional side stand (Honda part)is installed and works great.
- The duck bill and brackets are in good shape and complete.
- The tool kit is mostly complete (including the .1mm feeler gauge) and is the older style cloth in good shape. These are very rare!
- The key switch is unmolested and includes a working key.
- The chain guard was missing, o I put on a NOS Honda chain guard to make the bike more complete. I could have sold the chain guard for at least $100.00!
- The luggage carrier is solid and not bent. Will need re-chromed. The carrier is mounted to the rear fender and the top rear shock mounts. I don't know what brand it is.
- Frame # CB77-318461 and Engine # CB77E-318147.
- Pick-up at my location, will assist loading on to your carrier/shipper.
- Questions welcome.
