1980 Honda CB750C Custom

Up for auction is my 1980 Honda CB750 Custom. I bought this bike with the intention of doing an in-frame restoration, ut now realize I don't have the time nor the talent needed.

The Good Stuff

Overall, his bike is in really nice cosmetic shape for a machine over 36 years old.

• The bike starts right up, as good compression, oes not burn or leak oil.
• Low 20,776 original miles.
• The tank, ide covers, nd chrome are in excellent condition for a bike of this age.Slight dings on front fender.
• The seat is in good condition, ith a couple of minor tears.
• Inside of gas tank is clean, o rust
• Never dumped/dropped
• Replacement pipes give this bike a nice "rip-roaring" sound
• The mag wheels are rust/damage free
• Charging system working to 14.6V
• Included isa new oil filter, attery, eadlight, nd a Chilton's manual

What It Needs

Bike is not perfect - but with a little mechanical no-how, t should be a relatively simple frame-in restoration project

• Itneeds to have the carbs cleaned, nd possibly rebuilt. Fuel leaks out of the bottom of the bowl(s) when the petcock is open
• The tires are dry rotted and need to be replaced
• When I bought it, t was missing the headlight. I bought a replacement, ut it does not light. The tail light, ngine lights, tc. all work so I am guessing that the problem is in the headlight wiring.
• Front brakes are fair - caliper may need to be rebuilt

I purchased this bike from Kaplan Cycles in Vernon CT, o title was included as it is not required in CT for a vehicle of this age. Buyer is responsible for picking it up in North Andover MA, r for making own shipping arrangements.
