Fully Restored 1985 Red Honda Rebel 250

Lovingly restored 1985 Honda Rebel 250 Cruiser. 1985 was the very first year they were offered. When new, he buyer had two choices of color....red or black. This one was red and it has been professionally re-painted. It started out as a "Barn Rescue" for my wife, ho had wanted one when they we new. They couldn't keep them in stock so she bought something off the floor. When we started riding, he wanted her own so we looked for a Rebel for her to learn on. By luck, e found a 1985. I actually was able to ride her (Bike was named "Little Bits") home, ut I soon had the carburetor professionally rebuilt. Since then, he Rebel has run flawlessly.I restored what I could and replaced what I couldn't. Except for some haze on the transmission cover, he Bike looks brand new. It rides like she is brand new. If you know Rebels, ou know they are not Interstate Bikes. They are around town and non-Interstate Road Bikes. This has spent most of the time on the Colonial Parkway around Williamsburg, A. It's been on longer trips with no problem, ut it has trouble keeping up with the big Harleys. We are selling because my wife has a medical condition that effects her balance and the Doctor told her she can ride behind me, ut not on her Bike. At 6'2", look like a Circus Bear on a tricycle when I take her to be inspected. If it is any testament to how well she runs, he sat for over a year without being started (on a battery tender), She fired-up on the second try! My 2014 Street Glide won't even do that!! This is a Bike for someone who loves Honda Rebels and is a smaller person. Bike has a pigtail attached to the battery for a battery tender. Battery tender is included. A leather pouch that fits under headlight is also included. Bike was inspected 06/14/16. I am asking $2,000.00 obo.
