This is a gray market never sold or registered in the US model and will be sold with a bill of sale only. The were sold in Europe. Asia. Canada. Australia and New Zealand. It was rating at 31 HP with a 6 speed transmission and by all account out perform the 2012 CBR250f. It has D. I. D. 17 inch wheels 1. 85 front and 2. 50 rear with a floating dual piston disc out front. The bike is light and weighs less than 300 pounds. Best I can tell is a 1987 model but all of the labels are in Japanese. It is missing the airbox/battery box and seat. I will do my best to describe the bike but pictures always look better than real life in my experience. This model was prone to strip the starter gear and this one has a stripped gear. they can be had but are hard to come by and I don't have the time or patience to track one down. There is NO kick start on this bike it is a e-start only model. I was able to start the bike with starter fluid and it fired right up. no odd sounds or knocking. It has 17000 kilometers and the engine is very clean inside. The two pics are of the damaged gear and where it is situated behind the clutch cover. The tank has some rust but I feel it can be used after a chemical cleaning of the inside. I have successfully used tanks much worse than this after cleaning with the Yamaha brand tank cleaner. absolute worse case it may need to be coated inside but I don't think so. The paint is shot. and cannot be brought back due to flecking and spider cracks so consider it will need paint. You will need to clean the carbs as the bike has been sitting for a few years. The forks have rust spots and I don't think they are usable. They are straight but will kill new fork seals in a short time. I think you can source forks from one of Hondas other models. the engine is the same as early XL250s except for the E start. There are holes on the tail section where someone tried to install aftermarket signals (see pics) . Please. please. please ask questions and I will answer them truthfully. I was going to scrap the current engine and drop in a twin from the 450 Nighthawk or a CR500/YZ490 or some other air cooled 2 stroke to make a real sleeper but to many other projects and I didn't have the heart to butcher this rare bike. I can assist with shipping by delivering to AirFreight or perhaps meet halfway (up to a 100 miles) but I prefer you pick the bike up and if your serious please come and look at it person
