Honda CB900F Hornet 2003, low mileage, FSH, outstanding condition

Honda CB900F Hornet in outstanding condition with low mileage and full service history. unmodified but with useful accessories.  Mileage 14425. but may increase slightly as bike is in use. The bike is owned by me and registered to me at my home address.  V5 is present in my name and there is no outstanding finance. Honda's amazing naked bike. with the 919 Fireblade engine retuned for normal people.  They took away the top end (who needs 150+ mph on a naked bike?) and gave it massive low and mid-range power instead. The motor will pull like a train smoothly from idle onwards and this. combined with the sweet 6-speed gearbox. makes it a very easy and user-friendly bike to ride.  Handling is light. precise and secure.  It has virtually the same chassis as the CB600F. which means it is compact and easy to move around.  It will still pull on to 135 mph. I am told. but my neck muscles won't allow anything close to that. Reason for sale: mature owner. have ridden year-round for 40 years. but now returning to four wheels due to bad back and creaking joints.  This is the last of the fleet to go. and I am just keeping a Japanese vintage project to work on over winter and then keep as a sunny day ride.  The bike has no faults that I know of. everything works as it should. and looks in amazing condition for its age.  Very clean and hardly a mark on it. except for the usual slight corrosion to the engine cases (very common. even on Hondas).  However. a previous owner appears to have replaced both the outer engine covers (immaculate condition with new gaskets showing). so the corrosion is confined to the areas shown in the photos. A word about the silencers: the bike came to me with these on and they sound great.  A bit louder than standard. but not offensive. and with a nice deep tone.  I did not get the inserts (DB killers) with the bike. but it is legal without them and I haven't bothered tracking any down.  The bike passed an MoT 3 days before I bought it with them on. so no problem there.  Tyres are good (tread 3 mm front. 4. 5 mm rear). chain and sprockets good condition and have plenty of life left. brake pads same.  Engine starts first time. every time. and sounds sweet with no unexpected noises.  Everything works as it should. just add fuel and go. I have set the starting price at a sensible level.  I'm not desperate to sell. but would like to see it with a new owner before the winter. so the starting price is on the low side for the age and condition of the bike.  If it doesn't sell this time. I will put it in cotton wool in the garage and try again in the spring.  No reserve. The bike comes with original two keys (HISS coded). the original toolkit. owner's manual and service book.  All the MoTs except two are present (2008-2009 and 2012-2013. looking at the service dates I suspect the bike was off the road at the time these were due). and a sheaf of invoices and literature.  Any inspection welcome (including AA/RAC) at postcode SA62.  I work nights. but will do my best to accommodate any serious enquiries. The boring bit: no test rides without the purchase price in my hand and proof that you are insured to ride.  The bike will not be released until full payment is made.  £50 deposit by Paypal (non-refundable) within 24 hours of auction end and full payment within 7 days unless otherwise agreed.  Balance in cash or by bank transfer preferred. cheques will need to clear first.
