HONDA CB125S 1973 M REG LOVELY BIKE

Lovely Honda CB125s for auction. was never going to sell it. but since passing my test. I've decided to get a bigger bike and need garage space.

I've had this bike for about 30 years and gets an outing once in a while. never used seriously for some time. I stripped the bike back a few years ago and gave it a cosmetic restoration as best I could. please don't expect a museum piece as there are things I haven't touched and if it wasn't broke. then I've reused it.

Probably too much to list but here goes :

New tyres. chrome rims and spokes and inner tubes.

Polished hubs. new shrouded rear shocks. the ones shown in picture have been discarded. seat recovered by Saddlecraft. new front and rear fenders. new taillight. headlight. chain guard. chain. nbsp;handlebars. grips. nbsp;paint by owner. new decals. nbsp;polished alloy parts etc.

Starts first or second kick. could do with timing etc setting up and maybe valve clearances. easy for a DIY person.

Passed all MOT's first time. if it needs doing again. will put it through and tax it.

The only down side is the battery side panel which has a small crack and needs a respray. can supply colour code and contact for decal. Also the exhaust is original but has a hole in underneath which I've reparied with Chemical Metal. new ones available from David Silver. Some receipts with owners handbook and manual. 2 keys.

Can take more photos if required but won't be until 25/10/14 as I'm on holiday. this is also when the bike can be viewed. Will photo the log book as don't have exact date of registration to hand. but is near enough to 1973 / 74.

Just remembered that the carb was changed about 15 years ago and was unable to get the type with a lever operated choke. the type fitted is cable operated and have never got round to fitting a cable. so that would be an easy job for someone.

If I had the time I would have replaced the camchain tensioner as the tension adjuster is at it's limit. once again it's a very easy engine to work on. and would suit someone who can fettle all the small jobs. although I doubt if much needs doing.

Unfortunately you can't please everyone when selling on Ebay and someone will always find fault. hence I've been as honest as I can with this bike.

I have limited spares which I will include. not much. just a few bits and pieces.
