Description

Hello folks. this is a somewhat cafe'd out 1983 goldwing. it is a VERY comfortable long distance cafe bike. you could start this bike and run it across the country tomorrow. y cafe bikes are usually great to look at but not very rideable for long distances as they are not very comfortable by their nature. BUT this bike is different . i am 6' and 250lbs. and i can ride this bike across the country . which was my original intent . i was shooting for a very reliable comfortable cafe. moving on . i started with a two owner 30. 00 mile bike ( barely broken in for a goldwing. i have put 7. 00 miles on this bike myself and can attest to it's comfort and performance). the tires are brand new and balanced with ceramic beads. ( i personally got it up to 110 mph and felt great). the rims are powdercoated grey gun metal for easy clean up. the complete breaking system was gone through. new semi-sintered pads. the rotors were ground flat and true and drilled. he rad was cleaned and pressure tested. always runs cool. converted to a randakk spin on oil filter. quick easy oil changes. i change the oil every 1000 miles . just cause it's easy and cheap to do. the carbs are tuned perfectly and idle at 1000-1200. the handlebars are 2014 honda cb 1100 with bmw bar end signals. the front fender is a chrome honda fender off a cb 900 . the seat is the original goldwing with 6" removed from behind the hump and then recovered and reshaped so it is very comfortable for long distance. gas tank is very clean. all guages work. tail light/stop/brake/turn signals are LED digital. rear grab bar is 1. 75" marine grade polished stainless steel . so will never rust and plugged and tig welded . if you have access to a crane you could lift the whole bike by the rear grab bar . it is that strong. paint is custom 2 stage base/clear . with 5 coats of clear over top of my logo so it is perfectly smooth. I MUST APOLOGIZE FOR THE BAD PICS . MY CAMERA IS VERY BAD AND IT LOOKS SOMEWHAT PINK BUT IT IS HOTROD RED in person. i have a 10 min video of the bike running on my youtube channel but i don't know how to attach a link . so you just have to go to youtube and check out " 1rtccp's 1983 cafe goldwing " you will find it. the shocks are brand new . the driveshaft and rear diff were cleaned checked and lubed with honda moly. i am sure i am forgetting many things so if the video does not answer all your questions please feel free to contact me on my cell. 905-977-9436. nick. oops forgot to mention. of course as with any decent goldwing restore or rebuild . YES the timing belts were replaced at 32. 00 miles ( pretty much the first thing i did) so they are good for roughly 5 years depending on your riding habits. and the valves were set as well. also anybody close enough to come by and check it out in person is more than welcome to do so. bring you helmet and take her out for a spin. this bike will sell it self. also i have many pics of the build so if you want to see anything specific i prob have pic of it so just ask. nick

Hello folks. i have received a couple of calls asking the same question so i thought i'd just post the answer. YES this is the same bike from the NGWCLUB. COM ( naked goldwing club) that was voted the bike of the month for August. if anybody has not heard of this site it is one of the two best sites in the world for naked goldwings (THEE best in my humble opinion). the people on this site are by far the best resource on the planet for these great bikes and they are very sincere and helpful folks . pretty much friends i guess. anyway the BOTM must be submitted by someone other than yourself and then it gets voted on by essentially people from all over the planet. so it was quite an honour to win for August and truly humbled me . especially when one considers the global scope of the site and the quality of the many builds on there. yes definately a highlight for me. anyway if you go check out that site and click on my bike ( rtccp) it will lead you to many ( prob too many) build pics of the bike so feel free to go inspect the pics to see the bike from inside and out. np
