Description

What can I say -- the pictures speak for themselves on this soon to be 50 year old classic.  This is a beauty of a 1965 Honda CA95. 150cc twin cylinder (also know as the Baby Benly or Baby Dream).  Some collectors believe next year these bikes will appreciate (even more so than usual) because 2015 marks the 50th birthday of this bike.   This is a no reserve auction -- this bike is going to a new home as I need to sell this bike to finish the restoration of my 1948 Indian.  This bike is title in my name. registered and insured.  I rode it 10-15 miles on October 12. You will look long and hard to find a 1965 Honda 150cc this clean and ready to ride.  I know because I did before I found this one. I am believed to be the third owner and this bike was completely restored by the person I purchased it from.  This gentleman put more than $4500 into this bike during the restoration. When I bought it. just to be sure. I trailered it 90 miles to be serviced by none other than Bill "Mr. Honda" Silver in San Diego. Calif.  He went over it and found a few things that needed attention: such as. installing a new battery. correct front brake cable. and generally looked it over for anything that needed attention. This bike fires right up with the electric start. sounds super cool and really throaty.  It has less than 100 miles on it since total restoration. With all of this said. however. It is not perfect but it is sure to get compliments wherever you park it.  I have identified a few issues could use attention:the original key will go with the sale of the bike.  However. like most bikes of this vintage. the key doesn't want to stay in the ignition.  I have purchased two new old stock keys from Mr. Honda and he has also identified a locksmith in Milwaukee that can re-key the mechanism (I think the cost was $35) to the new key.  I have taken a picture of two of the new old stock photos.  I just noticed that the front headlight does not work.  Since I don't ride this bike much and I never ride it at night. this was news to me. If I have time. I will try to fix this before the auction endsOnly other thing I'm aware of is minor pitting in the chrome on the front rim.  I tried to take a picture of this.  I'm more than happy to take any extra pictures you request or a video. Bid with confidence - I have 100 percent feedback rating.  50 percent payment due with 48 hours after the auction.   If you have any questions: ASK.  This bike is being sold as is. where is.
