Description

This is an early shape Honda CBR600F that has been used as a race bike. I have no V5 logbook at all. the frame number is all visible as it would need to be for racing purposes.

Being an early "Jellymould" CBR. it would be 1986-1989 in age. Sure you could find out from the frame number. but I haven't tried at all. It was raced on the Isle of Man back in 2004 in the Junior Manx Grand Prix. I have been told it was then used as a track day bike up until the pas few years. Would make a good F2 bike for the classic TT.

The bike has been modified for racing. It has a catch tank under the seat unit. The airbox modified with air tubes from the fairing leading into it. It has what looks like a full Micron race system fitted. The exhaust can will need re-packing. it is very loud. Too loud for track days and short circuit racing in this country. The bodywork is all race stuff. which has only recently been painted in gloss black. It has a White Power rear shock fitted. Clip-ons fitted. with a race rev counter as well. Engine wise I do not know. It starts and runs well. But if it is tuned or not no one knows.

The tyres are not much use and the chain is pretty rusty. so will need a good check over before being used again in anger. Would be an ideal track day bike for someone who doesn't want to spend too much money. Great bikes the CBR600 and very reliable. Plus the added bonus that it has been prepared for racing in the past.

We are selling it as a trackday / Race bike project. as it does need a few jobs like the chain. tyres. etc before being used again. It appears to have been sat for a while not being used.

You are more than welcome to come and view the bike before placing a bid. we are 10 mins from the M25 Junc 28 in Romford. Essex

Happy Bidding
