Honda VFR 750 FV 1997

Honda VFR 750 FV RC36. 42. 00 miles. I've owned this since June and done about 3. 00 trouble-free and fun miles on it - my only reason for selling is I've been offered a friends bike. It has a full service history up to 35. 57 with 8 stamps in the book. the majority of them Honda main dealer - these are backed up with the original receipts. Since I have owned the bike. I have changed the oil and filter and fitted a pair of tyres at 40. 00 miles - Michelin Pilot Road 2 CT's. which still have thousands of miles left on them. The bike needs nothing and starts easily. I have every MOT and service invoice for it showing 14 MOT's and receipts for £1. 95. 00 in services. It has a working high-capacity scottoiler to lube the chain and extend its life. a pair of working heated grips. a colour coded seat cowl. a light tint flip screen which is great wind protection. I have fitted a gel insert into the seat and I find its now all-day comfortable.   Comes with original Honda Toolkit and owners manual Mileage is just over 42. 00 and will go up a bit as I use it for fun mainly. not commuting. These are probably the best bikes Honda made. the paint and finish is superb for a bike built in 1997. The bike has a few blemishes - a couple of dings in the tank - not broken the paint - a scuff or two on the side panels - all in the photos. The motor is superb. torquey. powerful and has a great V-4 sound track. I'm asking for £ 1. 00. 00. Bike is located in Lichfield. Staffs. Sorry - I'm not looking for a PX - just a cash sale. thanks. Taxed till end November. MOT till 29th November. No reason it wont sail through the MOT again. Brakes have loads of life left. chain and sprockets are good. fork seals are oil-tight. Headlights are very good as are the mirrors. Weak points on these bikes are reported to be:1. Exhaust system rots and is expensive to replace. The exhaust system on this bike is in great condition.   I have since painted it in high-temp black to prevent any discolouration.   I viewed another bike. same age. same mileage before I bought this one and the other bikes exhaust looked like it had been on the ocean floor for a long time. horribly rusty and corroded - this bike was and is nothing like that which leads me to believe it was replaced although there is no receipt for it so it may just have been very well cared for. 2. Regulator/Rectifier failure. This bike has had a reg/rec replacement - is charging fine and I've had no problem with it. 3. Fuel pump. The fuel pump did fail and was replaced before I bought the bike. however it would have run without it anyway. Honda only fitted it to prevent petrol loss if the bike was crashed as the fuel tap is manual.   The petrol filter was replaced at the same time (June 2014)Any questions  - just ask. I've just checked the valve clearances and spark plugs. The clearances are all in tolerance as are the plug gaps.
