CAFE RACER: HONDA CX500, 1980 - REAL HEAD TURNER!

I bought this beauty in Apr 2012 as my first road bike and subsequently commuted to and from Soho in Central London for around 10 months. I've enjoyed every minute of riding this bike. and it clears 100mph just like any ton-up bike should! The bike is a real head-turner - so much so that it's even more of a buzz riding it. I was shocked at how many people would stop and stare. and I've even had a few encounters where people have taken photos. The rumble of the V-Twin makes it impossible to ignore and the cafe-racer bars drop you into a classic racing position. Having said that. I found it comfortable enough to commute on. unlike a normal sports bike. In terms of boring bits. the bike is 30 years old so it could do with a bit of love and affection. but it's an amazing runner. I've personally added shorter. stubby silencers and a new battery (now around 15 months old). There's a tiny dent on the petrol tank but it all adds to its classic. rough-round-the-edges charm. The bike is currently SORN and will need MOT and Tax so you'll need a van or trailer to pick up. I bought it for £3. 00 so please bear this in mind. no time-wasters please.
