1977 Honda CB 550

This was my late dads bike that was stored in his basement and had not been ridden since 1988. Mom wanted it sold so I decided to get it in safe ridding condition for a couple of last rides on it. Dad was the 2nd owner. He purchased it from a guy he worked with that laid it over shortly after he purchased it new. I don't remember exactly what all was damaged but it wasn't extensive.  The one turn signal has rash. I repainted the tank and side covers leaving the original stripes. I think the tank was scratched. The paint is lacquer and has some cracking on top but still looks decent.  The front fender has a dent where it may have hit the horn. The gas that was left in it was still in liquid form so the tank is in near perfect condition in side with no rust at all. I removed the carbs and cleaned them and installed new bowl seals and float valves. I replaced the points. condensers. spark plugs and new plug connectors. The cam chain was adjusted and the valves were adjusted. The front brake system was flushed out and is working and free. The oil and filter was changed. I replaced the front tire with an Avon  Speedmaster MKII. The seat is cracked in the seams and needs work. The horn has been replaced and not original. Everything electrically works as it should. The bike starts easy and runs decent but the carbs do need synced. The mufflers were rusted out in several places. I welded them but they will need replaced at some point. The owners manual and tool kit is included. This would be a great bike fully restore. I will include a windjammer fairing and mount if desired. This bike is original except the horn and the paint. Dad was a mechanic and very particular with everything he owed so this bike was well maintained but this bike is old and not perfect! This bike is sold as is!
