Description

Hello. nbsp;       this is my 1975 Honda CB125 S1 (registration LBH 380P). It has been recently restored and is used regularly. This is a running classic. not just a shower. It is a lovely little bike to ride. Very light and nippy. especially around the country roads here but also through traffic in town. This is a 4 stroke single and the CB125 was well known for its rev happy pokey engine and is leaner / CBT legal. I get over 80 miles to the gallon riding through town and fast roads. When I bought the bike it had a cooked stator so rather than keep the original 6 Volt system which honestly gave a hopeless headlight and poor starting. I converted it to 12 Volts with a rewound stator. new voltage regulator rectifier and halogen headlight. - MOT is booked for Saturday 25th October. So 12 months MOT from then. - New front tyre. rear has loads of meat left. - Repainted frame and fittings. - New chain and sprockets. - New control cables. - New carburettor main jet. - Professionally covered seat. - New 12 volt stator. - 12 Volt conversion with Halogen headlight and LED tail light and pilot light. - New 12 volt AGM battery. - New 12 Volt regulator rectifier. - New replacement shock absorbers (considerably better than the originals in my opinion)Left hand side panel had a crack in it. This was repaired then resprayed in a colour close to the original. However the panel has moved and the crack can now be seen again. So. I sourced an original replacement panel which I will include in the sale for the next owner to repaint and fit if they wish. Exhaust is the original correct shape one but has been repaired. It is fine for the MOT but is rather worse for wear after 40 years and the chrome is corroded in places. I have a modern replacement exhaust I am selling so if you want it please ask me when you come to view the bike. The engine now starts readily and ticks over beautifully. It runs very well and would make a great first bike and one that you can take to a steam fair and display like we did.  The reason for selling is that I have recently got a bigger bike and no longer have the room or need a third bike as much as I love this one. Since the law changed if you want to ride it home you will need to organise the tax and insurance for your journey back. Tax is no longer tranferable with the vehicle. Otherwise you can trailer it. Any questions and to arrange a viewing please call 07765 786 123 or email me. I work from home and can take viewings / test rides any time.
