Built over last winter now for sale as a new project has arrived in the garage. Based on a 1987 CBR1000F Hurricane it runs and rides well and starts easily hot or cold. Was taken for its MOT March 2014 and passed first time with no advisories. No smoke. No oil leaks. No water leaks. being honest there is a slight alternator/starter chain rattle but nothing bad.   Still a pretty rapid bike. she is a big old girl and not for the puny?Bodywork. Rear subframe removed and a Fireblade 929 rear end grafted on. ?ˆ?Boot lid?ˆ™ style solo seat cover (pillion seat and pegs to match are included). All electrics relocated and secured.  Rear wheel from later CBR fitted to accommodate 180 rear tyre.   CBR expansion bottle.  Headlight and clocks are from a Kawasaki GT750. fly screen is Suzuki. Crash bungs.  Bar risers from a Yamaha Bulldog. bars are braced Tomasselli Motocross bars shortened slightly.   Bar ends and mirror fitted. Mini indicators. Mechanics. Pod air filters bigger main jets fitted.   Period ?ˆ?Devil?ˆ™ stainless steel exhaust system in good condition. New brake/clutch lines (braided) and throttle/choke cables fitted to match high bars. Front brakes stripped and cleaned ?ˆ“ new seals and pads front discs are very good. New front wheel bearings. New headstock bearings.  Engine service ?ˆ“ plugs/oil and filter. New cam chain fitted with later model tensioner.   Valve clearances set and rechecked after 300 miles. CBR1000RR stick coil conversion.  New chain and sprockets (1 tooth less front sprocket included). Very good Hagon rear shock. New gaskets and oil seals to sump/clutch cover/gearbox output shaft and cover .   Various other seals and ?ˆ?O?ˆ™ rings replaced.   Swingarm removed and re-greased all bearing in good condition.  Tyres are very good Maxxis Supersports.   One key fits all locks (2 keys supplied). Cosmetically it looks OK but then I?ˆ™m not fussy. Tank and all plastics are in good undamaged condition though not the best spray job. decals are not lacquered over so could easily be changed/painted to meet your own tastes.   Not jacked up at the back as some are as I wanted to be comfortable ?ˆ“ old age.   Still plenty you could do to make it your own?Bike is MOT?ˆ™d to March 2015 and taxed to March 2015. Mileage is 38K though I can?ˆ™t verify this.   Mileage was taken from VOSA printout of last MOT?ˆ™s and Kawasaki clocks set to that mileage.
