Servicing
Service booklet filled out up until 17332 miles (fully serviced)
Steering head bearing. Sprockets (Renthal). chain (Tsubaki x-ring gold). rear brake pads and rear tyre (Bridgestone Battlax) all replaced/fitted at 22. 00 miles (all receipted)
Top end assembly replaced (due to scoring found on exhaust cam whilst replacing the rocker cover gasket) which consisted of a used top end assembly (has 1000 miles more than rest of bike) and brand new gaskets. all fitted at 22. 00 miles (including valve clearance check) (all receipted).
Final entry in the service booklet is me: Oil and filter change along with fitment of new brake pads and some wavy front discs. carried out at 24000 miles.
Front tyre (Bridgestone Battlax) was fitted at 24. 885 miles
MoT
Bike picked up one advisory at its latest MoT: Rubbing of rear disc brake. I was told this was due to the calliper clogging with dirt and starting to warp the disc. Remedy: Replace disc (can be supplied as above) and clean the calliper thoroughly!
Bad bits:
Due to now being over 14 years old the bike has picked up a few things:
Front mud guard has cracked around the attachment bolt on one side - it's not going to fall off but to stop it rattling I have tie-wrapped it.
The end can has been welded as holes appeared due to corrosion. plus a bolt is missing from the back (it sheared when I was taking it apart to clean and get it welded) so now the exhaust blows; I would recommend replacing the end can but is not necessary.
End can hanger has been drilled and riveted and I have never got round to buying a proper replacement so the end can is slightly loose. If you choose to buy another end can it should come with a new hanger.
Motad down pipes have a hairline crack. easily remedied with a weld.
The bike picked up an advisory last year for a lower rear suspension bush having slight free play. I never replaced it and it was not highlighted at the latest MoT.
The fairings have some scratches. particularly where the shop has shoe horned them off the bike due to the underside bolts being corroded (I didn't notice when picking the bike up from them)!
I currently have only one key. the spare is somewhere in the house or packed for storage. if/when I find the spare I'm more than happy to post it to the new owner.
Bike rides great and is so much fun. will be very sad to see it go!
I will update with more photos (close ups on some of the stuff mentioned above) and with anything more I remember! Feel free to ask me any questions.
Cash on collection. Winner of auction pays for bike or receives bad feedback. Happy for test ride so long as I have received full payment.
