Description

I have just bought this bike for my grandson who has been a bit wayward in the past but seemed to have settled down. got a job. girlfriend. etc.  Seems to be trying. so I thought this would help him on his way. easier to get to work as he works shifts. etc. Got it insured for him. All good.  Then we find out that earlier this year he got done for failing to report an accident. careless driving. no license. no insurance.  Needless to say. he ain't getting it now!!!! And when his mother gets hold of him . Anyway.  This was bought from a dealer who had taken it in part exchange but it was too old and not clean enough for retail. so it was sold as seen.  It is generally clean enough but on close inspection it does look like it's been dropped on the right hand side.  I have tried to take pictures of the damaged bits but they really are so small it is hard to see in the photos.  Damage is to silencer. engine cover. mirror. handlebar end. front fork.  It is just scratches and chips in paint. You can only see them in the flesh if you really look close.  I thought the paint on the plastic fairing looked rather below Honda's best and when the V5C arrived (today) it shows the colour as black. As you can see in the photos. it is very much silver and blue.  The tank looks like the original colour. So. I'm guessing someone has done an amateur re-spray.  It look ok unless you are really fussy. I can either now send the V5C back to change colour or leave it as it is and let new owner change it at time of registering it.  The dealer put a new MOT on it so it is covered until end of September next year. It is showing tax until end of May next year but I believe the rules have now changed so you will need to tax it. I would recommend viewing - I think it looks lovely and the scratched bits are no more than you might expect from a bike of this age but you would need to satisfy yourself.  I understand the previous owner only had it long enough to pass his test and has now traded up.  I have ridden it a couple of times and it rides and handles well - a bit like a Transalp I had a few years back but without the power.  Just a bit low slow for me to enjoy or I would have considered keeping it. Test rides are possible but only if I have the full cash amount in my hand.  Payment by cash or bank transfer before the item is released.  PayPall not accepted. regardless of what E-Bay try to bully me in to. Happy to discuss any aspect of the bike.  You will have to collect.  No warranty is implied or given.  No returns.  All viewing welcome and recommended. Richard07870 552793
