Honda CB250 RS 1983

For sale is my Honda CB 250 RS. I bought this bike as a work commuter back in 2011. it has been very reliable since the day I got it.  I've had it MOT'd 3 times over the years. it passed the first 2 without any problems at all. last year it needed a new front wheel bearing which I had replaced. It's taxed until 31/03/2015. the MOT has just ran out on 01/10/2014. This year I believe it will need a new back tyre. a speedo cable and possibly a new front brake fluid reservoir (it's weeping). It kicks-up on the second time from cold. first time when it's warm. it does this every time. The engine uses about half a mug of oil each year. no smoke or major rattles. It has a few cosmetic scars here and there as expected with a 30 year old bike. some scratches to the tank etc but no signs of accident/crash damage. it's basically in it's factory state. I've never used degreasing fluids or jet washes. always cleaned it by hand and kept everything well oiled and lubricated. It's had 9 former keepers. the last one was the bike shop I bought it from. The shop had repainted the frame. fitted new rear shocks. seat cover. chain and sprockets.  It also has some rear crash bars with foot pegs built in and a rear luggage rack.

At the moment I am renovating my house and the bike is standing in my kitchen. I can't see me using it again for a while so thought I would sell it.

It would make a good work horse. easy restoration or caf?© racer/flat tracker project.
