MONTESA 248 TWIN SHOCK TRIALS BIKE

Welcome to my auction for my Montesa 248

This has been my backup bike for twin shock trials (which I have used on several occasions) but have other projects coming so need the space. easy bike to ride as is or fully restore

This is by no means a concourse standard bike but mechanically sound

Good bits:

-New Talon front and rear sprocket

-New Regina chain

-New brakes

-Have upgraded the float and needle in the carb for better running

- New cables

- New points and Condenser

- Replaced the stator plate and rewired it

- De coked and rebuilt top end

- Engine runs good but has its rattles not enough to warrant a rebuild though

Not so good bits:

-Needs new seat cover

- Paintwork ok but has its scratches

- Could do with new tyres

- Could do with new exhaust silencer to improve performance

- Rear mudguard has been shortened

This bike has served me well as my back up and should continue to perform. however it is 30 years old and not in mint condition so please don't expect it to be. /p>
