1993 HONDA CBR 600F

I have owned this CBR for over a year and done a few thousand miles on it. Nice looking retro sports bike. It has been a good bike. always starts first time. and is fast when you want it to be. but also very easy to plod around town on if you need to. I'm not too happy selling it. but I need to before getting something else.

I have spent over a hundred pounds on chain and both sprockets recently (gold chain) and the bike cleans up pretty nice. although no minter. It is over 20 years old now. and is cheap to insure as it qualifies for classic insurance. Parts are easy to find and cheap. I get plenty of comments about it. although there were thousands about. you don't see them so often anymore. First four pictures were taken THIS WEEK and shows the red seat it now has. The 5th picture was taken in the summer. but it had a black seat then. IT IS BEING SOLD WITH THE ORIGINAL BLACK EXHAUST. shown in first picture. Both seats are available as is original clear screen if preferred.

It has a removable headlight cover and removable seat cowl. Some marks here and there. a small scuff on the left of the fairing where someone has had a scrape.  Polished crash bungs. the rear has been tidied up a bit.

A good. cheap. reliable bike. ideal first big bike. Plenty of room for a pillion. I took it out for a hundred miles today. I still really enjoy the CBR. it does everything you need. it fools you into thinking its got no grunt. and similar to a big two-stroke. when you get it past about 6000 revs. it pulls like a train. I was looking into buying other 600's at the time when finding this one. but it really is a good all-rounder. and the riding position is comfortable for long runs.

It's got a few months tax left on it. the MOT had ran out a month or so ago. I didn't realise. as I was still using it (and still do). as still insured and taxed. I don't think it will fail on anything. it's no different to when I got it. infact it's better. although the front tyre has some perishing around the tread on one side. but it passed like this before.

Engine starts/runs well. gearbox works as it should. electrics all work as they should. never been an issue. Pretty much a standard bike.

Spare key. manual. registered in my name. all legit.

Mileage about 49k. it's had a replacement cylinder head casing at some point. most likely a bigger job than just casing. and I replaced the cylinder head/valve cover rubber seal/gasket. to sort out an annoying. small. oil leak last year.
