Here we have for sale a 2004 model Honda CG125. I'm selling this bike on behalf of my brother as he has now learnt to drive and has no use for the bike. This bike was originally mine. bought for me by my father in 2010. Once I passed my full test. I gave it back to him in exchange for a 500cc as I wanted something bigger. The plan was for him to clean it up and move it on. until my brother started showing signs that he wanted to learn to ride. In 2012 he passed his CBT and the CG was signed over to him and has been in his possession ever since. As you can see. the bike has been in our family for the last four years and we've never had any real problems with it. It's been used mainly as a work horse for both my brother and I. and never once let us down. The CG engines are known for being bulletproof and cheap to run and that's exactly what this is. Unfortunately. in March of this year. a driver pulled out on my brother as he was travelling home from work. Thankfully my brother had his wits about him and managed to hit the brakes and swerve to avoid the car. however in doing so he lost the wheels from under him and laid the bike down. There was no major damage inflicted to the bike. the exhaust was fairly well scratched up and dented. one of the grab handles was scratched to hell and there were a few other scratches here and there. All in all he got away very lightly. After this accident the bike was sent in to a main Honda dealer to get repairs done. as well as some general maintenance. The exhaust was replaced. the battery was replaced. nbsp;chain and sprockets were replaced. the grab handle was replaced and the front brake calliper was stripped down and rebuilt. The receipt for all this work will come with the paperwork. Added to this. it has had new Michelin tyres recently and there is a new side mirror and clutch lever included as spares. As you would expect with a bike of this age. there is some cosmetic damage such as marks on the plastics by the seat and on the engine casings. There are also spots of rust on the forks but after a quick test. these are outside the range of travel so shouldn't be able to damage the seals in any way. Although with a bit of polish they will probably come off anyway. It has sat in the garage for a few months since he passed his driving test. but has been started every now and then. When he tried to start it about a week ago there was no drive from the starter motor so I had it apart and cleaned it and it now works fine. So to sum up. and maybe make it a bit easier to read!Good PointsGood runner. Recent battery change. (By Honda dealer)New grab handle. (By Honda dealer)New exhaust. I'll get back to you asap. CASH ON COLLECTION ONLY. Good luck and happy bidding!
